Please take the time to read and understand these Terms and Conditions. If you have any concerns or problems, please contact us before you purchase a Gift Voucher or make a booking, or upon receipt of your Gift Voucher or Booking Confirmation. 

Our online booking system uses a securely encrypted server so your details are always secure and never passed on to anyone else. All payments are processed by the secured payment provider who employ the highest levels of security to ensure that your credit card details are securely processed.

Liability

In the interests of safety, you undertake to follow the instruction of the instructor, comply with any local codes of conduct, and act sensibly and prudently at all times. You also agree to indemnify The Polished Opal, its owners and employees for all losses and/or damages arising from any act or default on your part or the part of a member of your party. Under no circumstances at any time during the session should you or a member of your party be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, nor should you take medication that could effect or impair your judgment.

Under no circumstances will The Polished Opal be liable for direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages, including but not limited to lost or damaged property, or disappointment. 

The Polished Opal reserves the right to alter contents of product when deemed necessary.

Due to the individuality of each stone as well as the handling of the stones during the polishing process, the end result will vary from person to person and will not necessarily resemble the stones shown on our brochure, although management do their best to make sure that each parcel of opals contains colour.

Alterations and Cancelations of Bookings

GIFT VOUCHERS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

In the unfortunate event you should have to alter or cancel your booking, certain fees and conditions apply.

IF YOU WISH TO CANCEL AND RECEIVE A REFUND:

  • Within 72 hours of the session, you will not receive a refund.

  • Between 72 hours and 7 days prior to a session, a $20 per person cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund.

  • With more than 7 days notice of a session, a $10 per booking fee will be deducted from your refund.

IF YOU WISH TO ALTER YOUR SESSION BOOKING:

  • NO changes are permitted within the 72 hours prior to your session.

  • A $15 per person rebooking fee will be charged for session date alterations prior to this 72 hour period.

FAILURE TO SHOW

You will lose the full cost of your session if you fail to show for your session no matter what the reason. No refunds or session rescheduling are allowed. You may send someone else in your place if you wish – please let us know the name of the replacement person before the session otherwise they won’t be accepted.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Vouchers are valid only when fully paid by the purchaser or distributor. Vouchers cannot be refunded, either in part or in full, or be redeemed for cash. Vouchers are transferable to other individuals with written permission of the voucher holder and are valid only for the period indicated thereon.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have received booking confirmation details of your session, please notify our office if you do not receive this information.
